My name is P.J. Crowe. I am the new principal at Carver Elementary. I’ve held the honor of serving as the Assistant Principal at Carver Elementary since August 2014. Prior to that, I served for two years as an Assistant Principal at DeRidder Jr. High School. I taught 4th Grade at Pine Wood Elemetary. I am a lifelong resident of DeRidder. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education at McNeese State University and my Masters of Education Degree in Education Administration from Grand Canyon University. I am happily married to a retired police officer, have 2 children, 5 grand children, and am a children’s book author. I love what I do and I feel that every child on this campus is “MY CHILD” while they are with me.
My passion is to see that each and every student at GWCE succeeds academically, socially, and emotionally. I want students to feel safe, have access to the resources they need to meet their educational goals, and receive support every step of the way! I love how the faculty, staff, and administration work closely together to see that students have access to the best instructional practices, strategies, technology, and support resources.
I know that a great education is simply not possible without the collaboration and teamwork of students, parents, faculty, and staff and I believe that the stronger we build OUR relationship...the more success your students will achieve.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns. My door is always open!
